Zusammenfassung:An electric motor is provided and includes a U-shaped rotor (302) including circumferentially arranged U-shaped magnets (308), each circumferentially arranged U-shaped magnet defining an interior, and a stator (304) supportive of a winding structure (310). The winding structure includes phase coils (3101, 3102) extending axially and radially within the interior for torque production with each circumferentially arranged U-shaped magnet and end windings (3103) respectively extending outside the interior between corresponding ends of sequential pairs of the phase coils.
