Zusammenfassung:	An electrical connector assembly (100) includes a connector housing (112), a planar busbar (124) having a rectangular cross section defining two opposed major surfaces and four minor surfaces, a cooling plate (130) that is sized, shaped, and arranged to be in conductive thermal contact with a first major surface of the planar busbar (124), and an L-shaped busbar (118) partially disposed within the connector housing (112) having a first end (120) connected to an electrical terminal(116) and having a second end (122) attached to, and in conductive thermal contact with, a second major surface of the planar busbar (124). The cooling plate (130) is configured to reduce a temperature of the planar busbar (124) and the attached L-shaped busbar (118). A method (200) of assembling such an electrical connector(100) is also presented.
