Zusammenfassung:A method for regulating a position (PF) of an X-ray focus (FFS) on the anode (23) of an X-ray source (6) of a scan unit (2) of an X-ray imaging system (1) is described. In the method, a combined actual position (POSϕ_ist) of the X-ray focus (FFS) is determined by a combination of a measured position (POSϕ_mess_entk) of the X-ray focus (FFS) and a model-based position (POSϕ_mod, POSϕ_mess_mod) of the X-ray focus (FFS), which is determined based on a measured value of a deflection current (Iϕ). On the basis of the combined actual position (POSϕ_ist) and a target position (POSϕ_soll, POSz_soll), a manipulated variable (Uϕ_stell) is determined. On the basis of the determined manipulated variable (Uϕ_stell), a regulation is performed to correct a deviation of the position (PF) of the X-ray focus (FFS) from the target position (POSϕ_soll, POSz_soll). In addition, a regulation device (50) is described. Further, an X-ray imaging system (1) is described.
