KIT FOR REPLACING A JET FILTER ARRANGED IN AN ENGINE FUEL PUMP

A kit for replacing a JET filter 3 in an engine fuel pump 1 comprises either / and an extractor 10 for extracting said the JET filter, or a pushing rod for fitting a JET filter, or a centering guide 32 shaped to cooperate with the extractor or the pushing rod. The extractor may comprise a handle (11, fig 4) and a bar (12, fig 4), wherein a first end (16, fig 5) of the bar comprises a threaded surface to engage the JET filter. The bar may be shaped to cooperate with the centering guide and the extractor provided with a nut (13, fig 4) surrounding the bar. The pushing rod may comprise a handle (21, fig 6) and a bar (22, fig 6) wherein a first end (25, fig 6) of the bar is shaped to push the JET filter to a final position in the engine fuel pump. The centering guide may comprise a main body (33, fig 8) including a cavity (41, fig 8) shaped such that the JET filter can be extracted by the extractor or can be pushed in by the pushing rod. Methods of extracting and fitting a JET filter are also claimed.
