Each half cell has a quasi-rectangular shape and has one long, fully straight edge having no bevels, one long, slanted edge having two bevels, and two short edges each having one bevel. According to the invention, adjacent half cells arranged in one string adjoin or overlap each other either with their long, slanted edges or with their long, fully straight edges. The invention further refers to a method for fabricating such a solar cell module.
