Zusammenfassung:Embodiments described herein relate to a glucose monitoring system, comprising a glucose sensor, wherein at least part of the glucose sensor is configured to be positioned in contact with interstitial fluid in a body of a user; a transmitter unit coupled to the glucose sensor and configured to process glucose data indicative of a monitored glucose level from the glucose sensor; and a receiver unit comprising a processor and a user interface having a display, wherein the receiver unit is configured to receive the processed glucose data from the transmitter unit; wherein the processor is configured to: determine a current sensor life representing a time period remaining until completion of a lifetime of the glucose sensor; and cause the user interface to output, on the display, an indication of the current sensor life; and wherein the processor is further configured to: determine a grace period representing a time period until the glucose sensor needs to be replaced; and cause the user interface to output, on the display, information associated with the grace period.
