Zusammenfassung:An external cavity diode laser (ECDL) tunable to a plurality of channels of any selected grid is configured with a volume Bragg grating (VBG) and a continuous wave (CW) chip. In accordance with aspect of the disclosure, the VBG is configured as a chirped volume bragg mirror (CVBM) provided with a chirp of the grating period which is selected to compensate for a phase shift upon switching to a new desired wavelength. The desired wavelength is selected by using a Vernier effect between two tunable FP etalons.
