Zusammenfassung:	Method and apparatus (99) for dosing a continuous elongated element (900), for advancing the continuous elongated element (900) along a first tract (110) with an advancement direction (100) for feeding the continuous elongated element (900) to a feeding point (A) with a feeding speed; for optically detecting in continuous at a detection point (R) along the first tract (110) geometrical information relating to a section (200) of the continuous elongated element (900) on a plane perpendicular to the advancement direction (100); for calculating in continuous a value representative of an areal extension of the section (200) as a function of the geometrical information; and for adjusting in continuous the feeding speed as a function of the value representative of the areal extension and of a reference value of feeding flow rate of the continuous elongated element (900) in the feeding point (A).
