(1) The negative electrode includes a negative electrode collector and a negative electrode active material layer that includes a carbon material, and, as based on a diameter-based frequency distribution for the largest inscribed circles of all of the pixels in a bright-field region of a binarized SEM image taken of the surface of the negative electrode active material layer, the fraction Z1 of the total surface area of the largest inscribed circles that accounts for the total surface area of the largest inscribed circles that have a diameter of less than 100 nm is 3.5%-25.5%. (2) The non-aqueous electrolyte contains (A) LiPF6 and/or LiBF4, (B) an imide lithium salt, and (C) an oxalate-complex lithium salt, the ratio of the mass of component (C) to the total mass of components (A) and (B) being 1.0-10.0 mass%.
