Zusammenfassung:	A microcatheter (100) for delivering therapeutic fluids to a patient, and methods of making and using the same. The barbed microcatheter includes a hollow tube (102) having an elongated lumen that extends between proximal and distal ends of the hollow tube, a plurality of barbs (108) projecting from the hollow tube, and a plurality of fluid egress openings (110) formed in the hollow tube that are in fluid communication with the elongated lumen. The fluid egress openings are evenly spaced from one another along the length of the hollow tube. An anchor (112) is secured to the proximal end of the hollow tube, and a surgical needle (114) is secured to the distal end of the hollow tube.
