COOLER FOR COOLING BULK MATERIAL

The invention relates to a cooler for cooling bulk material, in particular cement clinker, said cooler comprising the following components: - a supporting frame, which has at least a plurality of static transverse supports (1) each extending in a transverse direction of the cooler; - a plurality of static longitudinal supports (3) which extend in a longitudinal direction of the cooler and are fastened to the transverse supports (1); - a plurality of static aeration floors (6) for deposition of the bulk material, - a plurality of movable conveying elements, said conveying elements each having - a drive support (8) which extends between two of the aeration floors (6) in the longitudinal direction of the cooler, and - one or more entraining elements (14) attached to the drive support (8), - a plurality of linear drives which are each supported on one of the drive supports (8) and on at least one of the longitudinal supports (3). Such a cooler is characterised in that the aeration floors (6) are arranged directly or indirectly on upper faces of the longitudinal supports (3) and directly or indirectly with the longitudinal supports (3). This makes it possible to obtain a cooler which is relatively light and can be produced cost-effectively.
