Zusammenfassung:	A smart automated phacoemulsification surgical system for reducing variables significantly by introducing a relationship among related variables that share the same functionalities or where they depend on each other. The system optimizes power applied and and when the power reaches its maximum targeted value while the occlusion persists for an extended period of time. An automatic venting subsystem is configured to release cataract particles from the tip of the surgical instrument. An ultrasound power setting is configured to be reset to overcome power and occlusion stagnation in order to prevent applying too much ultrasound power and harming the eye tissues of a patient.
