A reference sensor apparatus (110) is attached in a location with a known vertical distance in relation to a clamp (162; 202) coupling the wire (150; 200) with one support (160) of the two adjacent supports (160, 170), and includes a barometric pressure sensor (600) configured to measure (704) a reference barometric pressure. One or more target sensor apparatuses (120, 400, 402) are attached to the wire (150; 200) between the two adjacent supports (160, 170), and each includes a barometric pressure sensor (610) configured to measure (708) a target barometric pressure. A server apparatus (140) is caused to determine (722) the sag (154) of the wire (150; 200) based on the reference barometric pressure and the target barometric pressure.
