Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a voltage source converter as well as a method and computer program product for controlling the converter. The converter (10) comprises at least one phase leg connected between a first DC terminal (DC1) having a first voltage and a second DC terminal (DC2) having a second voltage, the phase leg comprising an upper arm (ua) and a lower arm (la) with cells (Cua1, Cua2, Cua3, Cua4, Cla1, Cla2, Cla3, Cla4), where a junction (j) between the arms is connected to a corresponding AC terminal (ACi). The converter also comprises a control unit (12) configured to control the cells (Cua1, Cua2, Cua3, Cua4, Cla1, Cla2, Cla3, Cla4) to output a train of pulses of trapezoidal shape where the generation of a first control signal for a first cell (CUa1) and used to initiate a transition between two levels of a pulse coincides with the decision that a transition is to be made.
