Zusammenfassung:The invention concerns a process of treatment of carbonaceous material, such as wastewater sludge or organic waste, comprising the steps of : (1) performing a thermal treatment of said carbonaceous material, thereby providing thermally treated carbonaceous material, (2) cooling of said thermally treated carbonaceous material, thereby providing cooled carbonaceous material, and (3) performing a post-treatment of said cooled carbonaceous material, wherein the cooling of step 2) is performed using a vacuum cooling step.
