Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a discharge device (30) for discharging a pipe section (3) which has been machined from a pipe (2) by means of a machining apparatus (20), the discharge device (30) having a pipe guiding axis (X) along which the pipe (2) is guided lengthwise as it comes from the machining device (20). A discharge flap (32.1, 32.2) is provided which can be hinged out of a falling position into a discharge position about a hinge axis (A) of the discharge flap (32.1, 32.2) running parallel to the pipe guiding axis (X), the at least one discharge flap (32.1, 32.2) being designed in such a way that in the falling position the pipe section (3) can fall past the at least one discharge flap (32.1, 32.2) and in the discharge position the pipe section (3) can be discharged.
