Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to clothing (10) for a machine for producing a fibrous web, in particular a paper, cardboard or tissue web, comprising a first layer (12) of first strips (14) which are oriented parallel to one another, and a second layer (22) of second strips (24) which are oriented parallel to one another, which second layer (22) is arranged on the first layer (12) and is connected to the first layer (12), wherein both adjacent first strips (14) are spaced apart from one another and adjacent second strips (24) are spaced apart from one another, with the result that the composite comprising the first layer (12) and the second layer (22) has a plurality of through openings (20) for dewatering of the fibrous web. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for producing clothing of this type.
