DRIVING ASSISTANCE DEVICE

The present invention provides a driver assistance system that allows a driver to easily perform an accelerator operation by a finger of his/her hand while grasping a steering holding section. The driver assistance system includes an operation member 2 near a steering wheel 6 that is held by a driver D seated on a driver's seat 8, rotates about a rotation shaft in a vehicle front-rear direction, and thereby steers a vehicle, the operation member 2 having an operation section 20 disposed such that the driver D can manually operate to accelerate/decelerate the vehicle, and includes a support member 3 on a steering wheel 6, the support member 3 supporting the operation member 2 in a slidingly displaceable manner along a steering axial direction X. The driver assistance system is configured that the operation section 20 is disposed near a radially inner side of a rim section 62 of the steering wheel 6 and that the operation section 20 and the rim section 62 overlap in the steering axial direction within a movable range of the operation member 2 along the steering axial direction X.
