The traveler may purchase the interlining service and be assured that the checked bags associated with that service will be automatically transferred from their first flight to their next flight. The traveler does not have to collect the checked bag, and then re-check it onto the second flight, which may allow a traveler to say with in the security zone of the airport, where permitted by airport flow.
