ORGAN CONTAINER

An organ container (1) includes a bag-shaped or tube-shaped insulating sheet (10) having an opening (100) and being capable of containing an organ inserted therein. The organ container may be used both to contain a transplant organ and to contain surrounding organs (e.g. large and small intestine), respectively. The insulating sheet is formed of an extra flexible material, having a hardness less than or equal to F45 according to a durometer hardness test compliant with JIS K 6253-3:2012. Accordingly, in the transplantation of an organ with a variety of sizes and shapes into a recipient, the organ container is capable of covering the surface of the organ along the surface of the organ while holding the organ. The organ container suppresses a further outward spread of the organ, thereby ensuring the field of operation and reducing the possibility of interfering with the work of a surgeon. The organ container can also suppress a temperature rise in the organ, and can absorb impact that may be applied to the organ during transport or operation.
