SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTOMATICALLY AND INTELLIGENTLY REDUCING THE POWER CONSUMPTION OF DEVICES

A method for automatically reducing the power consumed by devices (94) from a power source (90) having a limited amount of power. The method includes determining with a control system (100) which of the devices (94) is consuming the power. The method includes identifying a candidate device (412) among the devices (94) to tentatively reduce the power consumed by the candidate device (412). The method includes accessing a power control model (400), where the power control model (400) includes pairings (422) of the candidate device (412) with complementary devices among the devices (94), and where the devices (94) in each of the pairings (422) consume the power in a related pattern. The method further includes controlling the candidate device (412) to reduce the power consumed thereby only when each of the complementary devices in each of the pairings (422) in the power control model are determined to be in a non-power consuming state.
