Zusammenfassung:	The present invention provides a ball chain that makes it possible to provide a fail-safe function to metal ball chains. Provided is a ball chain in which metal balls 16a are linked by a metal link shaft 16b, wherein a first end portion 17 and a second end portion 18 are coupled by a coupling part 21. The coupling part 21 comprises a first metal connector 22a provided with a first fitting protrusion 28a, a second metal connector 22b provided with a second fitting protrusion 28b, and a coupling member 23 for coupling the first metal connector 22a and the second metal connector 22b. A resin core member 31 of the coupling member 23 has a first fitting recess into which the first fitting protrusion 28a is fit and a second fitting recess 32b into which the second fitting protrusion 28b is fit. When a pulling force is applied that exceeds the pulling force during normal operation, at least the fitting protrusion 28a, 28b is dislodged from the fitting recess due to the elasticity of the resin in the resin core member 31.
