Zusammenfassung:	A particulate composition comprises pullulan and concomitant saccharides containing mannitol, and has the following features:said pullulan and said concomitant saccharides are respectively insoluble and soluble in 75% by volume of methanol in water;the content of said pullulan against the content of the total saccharides in the whole of said particulate composition is 97% by weight or higher, when determined based on the anthrone sulfuric acid method;the content of said concomitant saccharides against the content of the total saccharides in the whole of said particulate composition is 3% by weight or lower, when determined based on the anthrone sulfuric acid method;the content of said mannitol against the content of the total saccharides in the whole of said particulate composition does not exceed 2% by weight, on a dry solid basis; andthe weight-average molecular weight of said pullulan is 50,000 to 1,000,000 Daltons.
