Zusammenfassung:	The problem to be solved of the present invention is to provide a modified vinyl acetal resin for an interlayer film of laminated glass having excellent transparency, impact resistance, heat resistance and molding ability. The means for solving the problem is a modified vinyl acetal resin for an interlayer film of laminated glass comprising 25 to 60mol% of ethylene units and 24 to 71% by mol of vinyl alcohol units, based on all the monomer units constituting the resin, and having the acetalization degree of 5mol% or more and less than 40mol%.
