Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a battery case (1, 11) for a traction battery (102), said battery case having a housing lower part (3), which has housing side walls (3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4) and a housing bottom (2.5), having a housing lid (2), which is designed to seal the housing lower part (3.5) closed and to be detachable therefrom, having a reinforcement structure (7) having reinforcement profiles (7.1, 7.2), wherein the reinforcement structure (7) is provided between the housing bottom (2.5) and the housing lid (2) and is non-detachably connected to the housing lid (2). In order to be able to ensure compactness and a high degree of crash safety, according to the invention, the reinforcement profiles (7.1, 7.2) are integrally joined to the housing lid (2).
