Zusammenfassung:	A spectral imager (100) comprises an optical fibre bundle (3) between a radiation collecting optics (1) and a spectrometer (2). The optical fibre bundle has a length suitable for producing near-field homogenization. It may also be maintained so as to produce in addition far-field homogenization. Thus, an instrument spectral response function may be independent from sharp radiation intensity variations that may exist in an intermediate image formed by the radiation collecting optics.
