Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to genetically modified ascomycetous filamentous fungi, particularly of the species Thermothelomyces heterothallica capable of producing cannabinoids and precursors thereof, particularly of producing cannabigerolic acid (CBGA) and/or cannabigerovarinic acid (CBGVA) and products thereof, including tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA), cannabidiolic acid (CBDA) and cannabidivarinic acid (CBDVA), and use thereof for producing said precursors and cannabinoids.
