Zusammenfassung: | A method of controlling a display for displaying video content is provided. The method includes receiving, by a receiver, first and second data streams of the video content. The first data stream include a first subset of frames of the video content that are presentable at a first frame rate. The second data stream include a second subset of frames of the video content which in combination with the first subset of frames are presentable at a second frame rate. The method further includes determining, by the receiver, an original frame rate of the video content. Additionally, the method includes determining, by the receiver, whether the original frame rate of the video content is higher than a display rate of the display. If it is determined that the original frame rate of the video content is higher than the display rate of the display, the method further comprises: outputting, for presentation on the display, only frames of the video content included in the first data stream; determining, by processing circuitry, a blinking frequency to be used during presentation of the video content for a light source of the display; setting, by the processing circuitry, the blinking frequency for the light source of the display based on the determined blinking frequency; and controlling, by the processing circuitry, the light source of the display to blink according to the set blinking frequency while a first frame of the first data stream is presented on the display. The light source is configured to illuminate a separate display panel or to emit light that forms images of the video content. |
