Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to a mouth-nose protection (1) comprising a mask (2) for simultaneously covering mouth and nose of an individual, the mask (2) consisting of a cut of a flat filter medium. According to the invention, the cut is horizontally folded in zigzag fashion between the upper edge of the mask and the lower edge of the mask and forms at least 5 pleats, each pleat having a back (3) lying on the exterior of the mask (2) and two pleat flanks (4, 4') extending down from the back (3), and the height of the pleat flanks (4, 4') decreases towards the center (5) of the mask (2) both from the upper edge (6) of the mask (2) and from the lower edge (10) of the mask (2).
