Zusammenfassung:Front or central pillar reinforcement (2, 102) for a motor vehicle, with a U-shaped cross section and with a core and two soles, designed to extend vertically on the motor vehicle, and comprising, at each of a lower zone (6, 106) and an upper zone (8, 108): orifices (10, 110,) for attaching a vehicle door hinge; a plate (12, 112, 114) on an inner face of the core, with female threads opposite the orifices (10, 110), designed to receive screws for attaching the corresponding hinge; remarkable in that the reinforcement further comprises, in at least one of the lower zones (6, 106) and upper zones (8, 108): a foolproofing orifice (20, 120) that is left passable or closed off by the corresponding plate, and associated methods.
