DATA MESSAGE TRANSMISSION METHODS

This application provides a data packet transmission method and node. The method includes: A first node receives a data packet and first metadata, where the first metadata is used to indicate a service processing result of the data packet by an upstream node of the first node, then determines a first service based on the first metadata and processes the first service based on the data packet, and further uses the first metadata and a processing result of the first service as second metadata and sends the data packet and the second metadata to a second node. By using this implementation, service processing efficiency can be improved, PP resource usage of each node in a pipeline can be reduced, and a capability of processing a complex service by a data transmission network can be improved, thereby improving transmission performance of the data transmission network.
