Zusammenfassung:	The present invention firstly relates to an illumination device (1), for example for a front headlight (20) or a taillight (pilot light) of a vehicle, made up of different flat light guides (10) arranged superimposed on each other with etchings or optics that enable different patterns to be generated for each one of the light guides (10). The illumination device (1) of the present invention is capable of generating a surprising visual/optical effect, wherein the observer perceives different illuminated patterns or different illumination sequences of said patterns, as if they were generated by a single light guide.It also relates, according to a second aspect, to a vehicle headlight (20) that includes the illumination device (1), with the same objectives as the aforementioned ones. Specifically, the reduced space occupied by the illumination device favours the integration thereof in a headlight of a vehicle.
