AUTOMATED ANALYZER

An automatic analyzer is realized which is capable of normally maintaining a device condition and exhibiting a stable performance by automatically monitoring a cleaning implementation situation using a wash rack. The automatic analyzer includes at least one analysis unit 5 to 8 that analyzes a sample, a rack loading unit 1 into which at least a sample rack 92 that holds the sample and a wash rack that holds a cleaning liquid are loaded, a transportation mechanism 3 that transports at least the sample rack 92 and the wash rack loaded to the rack loading unit 1 to the analysis unit 5 to 8, and an overall management control unit 11 that controls operations of the analysis unit 5 to 8, the rack loading unit 1, and the transportation mechanism 3. The overall management control unit 11 causes the wash rack to be transported to the analysis unit 5 to 8, causes to perform the cleaning operation of the analysis unit 5 to 8 to which the wash rack has been transported by the cleaning liquid held by the wash rack, and causes to stop sample analysis operation of the analysis unit 5 to 8 to which the wash rack has been transported until a performance of the analysis unit 5 to 8 is determined to be normal based on the cleaning operation.
