ENDOVASCULAR DEVICES AND METHODS FOR EXPLOITING INTRAMURAL SPACE

The present invention relates to an apparatus for facilitating treatment via a vascular wall defining a true lumen containing an occlusion therein, the apparatus comprising: an orienting device including a distal shaft defining a central lumen and having an outer wall; and a reentry device advanceable within the central lumen; wherein the orienting device includes an orienting element that is coupled to the distal shaft, the orienting element comprising at least one inflatable member configured to orient the orienting device upon being inflated; wherein the outer wall of the distal shaft defines a first aperture and a second aperture; wherein the first aperture and the second aperture both fluidly communicate with the central lumen; wherein the reentry device is configured to be directed through a selected one of the first and second apertures to re-enter the true lumen with the re-entry device.
