Zusammenfassung:	A method of providing control for a food processing system (100), the method comprising:receiving, at a processor (118) of a sensor device (102), a plurality of images (116) capturing a scene that depicts at least a portion of a conveyer (106) entering a treatment area (108) of the food processing system (100), wherein respective ones of the images capture the scene at respective points in time;processing, with the processor (118) of the sensor device (102), one or more images, among the plurality of images (116), to detect one or more characteristics in the scene, including i) detecting presence or absence of a product on the at least the portion of the conveyor (106) depicted in the scene and ii) classifying the scene as having one or more characteristics among a predetermined set of characteristics, wherein processing the one or more images among the plurality of images (116) optionally includes using a neural network to classify the product detected in an image, among the one or more images, into one of a plurality of predetermined types of products; andproviding, by the sensor device (102) to a controller (126), characteristics information indicating the one or more characteristics detected in the scene, wherein the characteristics information is to be used by the controller (126) to control operation of one or both of a) the conveyor (106) and b) the treatment area (108) of the food processing system (100).
