Zusammenfassung:	The invention proposes a method and system for vehicle routing on a road segment. The invention proposes to process data describing the vehicles, the road segment and other context dependent features into geometric shapes embodying the main features of the data. Geometry-based packing algorithms are then used to allocate groups of vehicles to portions of the road segment, so as to satisfy a set of predetermined constraints. The resulting allocation drives the vehicle routing data that is communicated to the vehicles so that the allocation is put to practice.
