An object of this disclosure provides a novel method for producing a fluorovinyl amide compound and the like. The object is achieved by a method for producing a compound represented by formula (1):whereinRf is -F or fluoroalkyl,Ra1 is -H or an organic group, andRa2 is -H or an organic group, or(i) Ra1 and Ra2, (ii) Ra1 and Rf, or (iii) Rf and Ra2, may be linked to each other,Rb1is -H or an organic group, andRb2 is -H or an organic group, orRb1and Rb2 may be linked together with their adjacent atoms to form a nitrogen-containing ring optionally having one or more substituents,the method comprisingstep A of reacting a compound represented by formula (2):whereinRx is a leaving group,with a compound represented by formula (3) or a salt thereof: in the presence of a transition metal catalyst.
