Zusammenfassung:A gas turbine engine (100) that includes a stage (104) of guide vanes, a compressor (106) downstream from the stage (104) of guide vanes, and a combustor (108) downstream from the compressor (106). The combustor (108) is an axial fuel staging multi-stage combustor. A controller (126) is communicatively coupled with the stage (104) of guide vanes, the controller (126) configured to monitor an intra-stage temperature of the multi-stage combustor (108), and selectively open and close the guide vanes to maintain the intra-stage temperature within a predefined temperature range.
