Zusammenfassung:	An image position detection apparatus 400 includes a reading unit 401 configured to detect a position of a print sheet M, a counter member 93 arranged on an opposite side of the print sheet M from the reading unit 401, and configured to switch a background color of the print sheet M detected by the reading unit 401, and a contact glass 94 arranged between the reading unit 401 and the counter member 93. The print sheet M is conveyed between the contact glass 94 and the counter member 93 while being in contact with the contact glass 94. The contact glass 94 is provided with a pair of longitudinal lines 406 serving as an indicator indicating a reference position. The reading unit 401 is configured to calculate, based on position information detected from the pair of longitudinal lines 406, the position of the print sheet M.
