Zusammenfassung:	A carding machine for a spinning preparation line comprises a rotating main drum (1), a travelling flat device (6) having a plurality of travelling flats (8) translating and cooperating with the main drum (1) along a working stretch of a closed path, and an auxiliary cleaning device (39). The auxiliary cleaning device (39) comprises an auxiliary cleaning unit (40) operating on at least one travelling flat (8) and comprising an auxiliary brush (42) movable between an operating configuration, in which it engages a clothing (22) of the at least one travelling flat (8), and a non-operating configuration, in which it does not engage said clothing (22).
