Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a belt finishing device (14), having a finishing belt and having a mechanical connection for a rotary drive (20) of a machine tool (12), wherein the mechanical connection is coupled at least indirectly to an oscillating drive which comprises a transducer for converting a rotary movement into an oscillating movement of a pressing tool, wherein the pressing tool is provided to press the finishing belt against a workpiece to be finished, wherein the mechanical connection is coupled at least indirectly to a finishing belt drive for feeding the finishing belt, wherein the oscillating drive and/or the finishing belt drive have or has a transmission, wherein an input variable of the transmission is the direction of rotation of the rotary drive of the machine tool and an output variable of the transmission is the rotational speeds which differ from one another and are dependent on the input variable.
