Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a battery compartment (10) for receiving a battery (12) in a contacting manner, wherein the battery compartment (10) has a console (14) for contacting and supporting the battery (12) and a holder (16) for attaching the battery compartment (10) to a vehicle (40), and the console (14) is attached to the holder (16) in a movable manner such that the console (14) can be adjusted into a removal position (E) for adding or removing the battery (12) and an operating position (B) for discharging and/or charging the battery (12). The console (14) has an ejector (20) which ejects the battery (12) in the removal position (E) preferably automatically or after being actuated. The invention also relates to a vehicle comprising such a battery compartment.
