Zusammenfassung:	The need for a liquid detergent composition, especially a hand dishwashing liquid detergent which provides a more consistent sudsing experience, regardless of the hardness of the water used to prepare the cleaning liquor, while also providing improved initial suds formation and suds mileage in the presence of greasy soils, especially under hard water conditions, is met by formulating a liquid detergent composition to comprise an anionic surfactant and a co-surfactant, wherein the anionic surfactant comprises an alkyl isosorbide sulphate anionic surfactant.
