This application discloses a speech recognition method, including: A wearable device collects a fingerprint pattern input by a user and speech input by the user, where the wearable device is woken up in response to the fingerprint input by the user. The wearable device sends the fingerprint pattern to an electronic device, to enable the electronic device to perform authentication on the fingerprint pattern input by a user. The wearable device sends the speech to the electronic device, and after the authentication succeeds, the electronic device is enabled to execute a function corresponding to the speech. The wearable device may collect the fingerprint pattern input by the user, and the fingerprint pattern may be used to subsequently perform authentication on a user identity. In this way, a mobile phone can subsequently implement a speech recognition function corresponding to a speech signal while the user does not need to interact with the mobile phone. This can reduce interaction complexity performed by the wearable device and the electronic device during speech recognition.
