Zusammenfassung: | A process for ultrasonically consolidating particulates in an ink (103) onto a substrate (104) at ambient temperatures in less than 5 seconds to form a completely dense, well adhered functional coating. The ink may be applied by an analog or digital printing method. The ultrasonic consolidation may involve the application of a static compressive load (107) and vibrational energy which may be provided by a sonotrode (101). A cap (105) may be interposed between the sonotrode (101) and the ink (103). The coating can be used for electronic components. The process is applicable to various substrates such as metals, plastics and ceramics. |
