DYNAMO-ELECTRIC MACHINE

The present invention provides a rotating electric machine using a fan to cool the interior of the machine and enabling a reduction in fan loss for improved efficiency. The rotating electric machine according to the present invention includes an inner fan that is attached to one end of a rotor in an axis direction and circulates internal air, and an outer fan that is attached to the rotor on an opposite side to a side where the inner fan is attached, the outer fan taking in external air. A partition plate is placed inward of a main plate of the outer fan and secured to a frame or a stator core. The partition plate is attached to extend along a surface of the main plate of the outer fan and to have an approximately constant gap from the main plate, and the entire range of an inward facing side surface of the main plate is covered with the partition plate.
