NETWORK EVENT REPORTING FOR PDN CONNECTIVITY

Systems and methods for network event reporting are provided. In some embodiments, a method performed by a first entity for reporting wireless device connectivity events includes determining that a connectivity event has occurred for a wireless device; and communicating to a second entity that the connectivity event has occurred for the wireless device. In this way, in some embodiments, reporting of PDN Connectivity creation and deletion can be made on request and does not need to be always enabled for a UE with a configured UE Reachability Monitoring Event. Also, in some embodiments, Application Servers know when they can communicate with a CIoT device. The new parameters provided to the Application Server, i.e., IP Address, PDN Type and/or APN of the PDN Connection, also inform the Application Server how to communicate with the CIoT device.
