Zusammenfassung: | A projector (100) includes illumination light sources (101, 102), a dichroic mirror (120), a phase difference plate (103), and a polarization conversion element (150). The illumination light source (101) emits a first illumination light ray which is a first polarized light when either one of an s-polarized light and a p-polarized light, which are linearly polarized light, is set as the first polarized light and the other is set as a second polarized light. The illumination light source (102) emits a second illumination light ray. The dichroic mirror (120) includes a specific polarization reflection area (120R) and a transmission area (120T). The specific polarization reflection area (120R) reflects the first polarized light and transmits the second polarized light and the second illumination light ray. The transmission area (120T) transmits the first and second illumination light rays. The phase difference plate (103) converts linearly polarized light into circularly polarized light. The polarization conversion element (150) transmits either the first or second polarized light, shifts an optical axis of the other, and aligns the first and second illumination light rays to the first polarized light or the second polarized light. |
