Zusammenfassung:	A cooking hob for heating cooking equipment comprises: a hob plate which includes a cooking region and a display region, wherein the display region is different from the cooking region and the display region and the cooking region do not overlap each other; a display device disposed below the hob plate in the display region and designed to output information about the hob and provide a control function; and at least one heating unit disposed below the hob plate in the cooking region and designed to heat the cooking equipment. In addition, the hob comprises at least one thermal actuator designed to change, by heating, a distance between the hob plate and/or the display device adjacent to the display region as a function of a temperature within the display region and on the hob plate. Accordingly, the display device can be protected against damage.
