Zusammenfassung:	A camera actuator for implementing automatic focusing and zooming, and a compact camera including the same. The camera actuator includes a base, at least one driving unit, and at least one optical unit. The base has an internal accommodation space, is open at both ends thereof in a direction in which light travels, and has at least one opening in one side surface thereof. The driving unit includes a substrate fitted in the opening of the base and mounted with at least one coil on a surface facing the internal accommodation space of the base. The optical unit is provided in the internal accommodation space of the base and configured to be movable in an optical axis direction. The optical unit is mounted with a magnet on a surface facing the substrate. The magnet is positioned to correspond to the coil. The substrate is mounted with two or more coils.
